General Information
Opening Times:
Open daily in summer (1 September to 30 April) from 06h00 to 17h00 and winter (1 May to 31 August) from 07h00 to 17h00
Entrance fee:
R50 per adult, R5 per child U18 yrs.
No charge for guide – tips welcome.
Directions
Situated just outside Eshowe and well signposted on the Kangella Road, a short distance from the Eshowe High School.
From Durban (approx. 150km) on the N2 north, take the Dokodweni offramp, along the R66 to Eshowe for 24km, take the 2nd left.
Best time to visit
Any time of year. For butterfly enthusiasts, autumn is best.
Where to stay
Accommodation, ranging from basic budget backpackers to luxury lodges, is available in Eshowe.
How to get around
You can drive through the forest but using one's feet, either at ground-level or on the aerial boardwalk, is best.
