Media Press Release - 01 March 2010 The New Indigenous nursery at Marutswa Forest
The New Indigenous nursery at Marutswa Forest
Marutswa’s new indigenous nursery features a carefully chosen selection of very affordable indigenous and hardy plants to encourage gardeners to plant for
the planet, by choosing to fill their garden with colour and beauty with non alien species.
This helps reduce the strain on the water table and also discourages the spread of alien invaders. The selection is seasonal and includes amongst other plants:
A variety of tree saplings, red hot pokers, Agapanthus, succulents and wild iris.
Plants purchased at the forest also help support the eco –education programme at Marutswa and contribute to the upkeep of this community upliftment
project.
Why not stop by the nursery and take home a living souvenir of your wonderful day out at Marutswa Forest.
