Directions
From Limpopo - Nelspruit
If travelling from Nelspruit, follow the R46 to Barberton and then the R38 to Badplaas where you join the R541 towards Lochiel. Turn right onto the N17 and head towards Warburton for about 27km, taking the R33 just before Warburton and head for Amsterdam. Continue on the R33 to Piet Retief and then take the R543 to Wakkerstroom (85km from Piet Retief).
From Gauteng - Johannesburg
Take the N17 (Springs) to Leandra. At the T-Junction (Leandra on your left), turn right towards Standerton on the R50 and travel for 76km to Standerton. At Standerton, take the R23 to Volksrust (80km) and then the R543 to Wakkerstroom (27km).
From Kwa-Zulu Natal - Durban
Take the N3 and by-pass Pietermaritzburg, Howick, Mooi River and Estcourt. Take the N11 to Ladysmith (11km from the N3 off-ramp). Travel through Ladysmith and head for Newcastle along the N11 (about 80km) and continue along the N11 to Volksrust (55km) traversing the Amajuba Pass. Pass straight through Volksrust and take the R543 to Wakkerstroom (27km).
